On November 4-5, the 2023 Sasakawa Cup National University Japan Knowledge Competition was held at Renmin University of China, with a total of 388 teachers and students from 97 peer universities across the country participating. Selected by the school, Zhu Yongkang won the first prize in the individual competition with systematic and serious continuous preparation, comprehensive and solid learning skills, and decisive and calm ability to respond to changes on the field, and won the precious opportunity to go to Japan for short-term study exchange in 2024. In addition, Zhu Yongkang, Yu Mengxiang, and Chen Nuo three students who participated in the team competition, also won the Group Excellence Award, and Japanese Department teacher Yu Zufa won the Outstanding Instructor Award.
After receiving the official notice of the competition, the Japanese Department of the College of Foreign Languages immediately launched a selection process combining student volunteer registration and teacher recommendation. Taking full account of various factors such as promoting learning through competition, promoting innovation through learning, and leading novices with an old hand, we finally selected Zhu Yongkang from Grade 4, Yu Mengxiang, and Chen Nuo from Grade 3 to form a competition team, and equipped with full-time instructors to carry out systematic learning and guidance in a planned, divided and focused manner. This award is another breakthrough after Su Yingshuang won the third prize.
Sasakawa Cup National University Japan Knowledge Competition began in 2004, has been held in Northeast, East, southwest, and Central China, and other regions, and developed into a national competition, the domestic undergraduate Japanese professional colleges and universities wide attention and positive response. The competition aims to promote talent training and cultural exchanges between China and Japan through various forms such as quizzes.
