Lecture announcement of the College of Foreign Languages: Reflections on maritime culture

Lecture Introduction: Maritime English, mainly about domestic thinking of Maritime English, the discovery of average accidents, conventions, and localization, etc.

Expert Profile: Hu Shengping, Ph.D., Professor, graduated from Shanghai Maritime University as an undergraduate and graduate student. Director of China Navigation Simulator Teaching and Research Association and executive member of the International Teacher Federation of Navigation Simulator. His main research includes vehicle application engineering and safety engineering. He has been committed to the teaching and research of maritime simulation and maritime traffic risk management for a long time. He once served as a visiting scholar at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology and Australian Maritime College. For many years, he has taught undergraduate and graduate students such courses as ship watch and collision avoidance, ship collision avoidance decision-making, ship management, ship resource management, theory and method of water traffic risk assessment, and maritime investigation. It has won many scientific and technological progress awards such as China Port Association, China Maritime society, China Safety Production Association, and China Occupational Safety and Health Association. As the first author, he has published more than 30 academic papers, 2 academic monographs, and 2 teaching materials in reliability engineering and safety science, Journal of applied basic and Engineering Science, and other Chinese and foreign journals.
