BASF Corporation Came to the College of Foreign Languages to Carry Out Recruitment Promotion and Exchange Activities

On the morning of June 28, Florian Probst, Supply Chain Director of BASF, and Yang Jing, senior manager of Supply Chain Management, visited the College of Foreign Languages for exchange and recruitment activities. Liu Zhi, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Li Ke, Zhang Hao, Huang Dawei, instructor of the College of Transportation, Yao Pengfei, and some student representatives participated in the exchange activity.


At the meeting, Florian Probst introduced BASF's corporate culture, development philosophy, main business direction, and existing development system in detail. Yang Jing introduced in detail the basic situation of the company's business departments, work content, and the need for internship positions. She stressed that the company is currently developing rapidly in Shanghai, and is very willing to attract talents with solid English skills, practical work, able to communicate fully, and have the spirit of innovation. She is full of expectations for the graduates of Shanghai Maritime University majoring in foreign languages and logistics management.


Huang Dawei introduced the relevant situation of the logistics management major of the College of Transportation. 


Liu Zhi introduced to the participants the basic situation of students of the College of Foreign Languages and the relevant professional settings. He said that the student training concept of the College of Foreign Languages is highly consistent with the talent needs of BASF, and he hopes to further recommend excellent students of the school to BASF for internship and employment in the future, and establish in-depth cooperative relations between the school and enterprises.
