On the morning of May 13, a workplace experience sharing session for alumni of the College of Foreign Languages was held in Conference Room 515 of the Foreign Languages Building. The College invited Li Xin, former undergraduate student of British Airways Class 151 and now senior marketing director of Shanghai Huizhan Information Technology Co., Jia Haixin, former graduate student of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics Class 2017 and now teacher of Hengyang Foreign Language School, Liu Zhen, former graduate student of Chinese International Education Class 2019 and now teacher of Security Department of Shanghai Maritime University, and Li Liangcheng, alumnus of Shanghai Maritime Bureau, to attend the meeting. Liu Zhi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, Sun Zhikuan, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and representatives of undergraduate and graduate students of the College attended the meeting together, and Wang Yang Yang, President of the Language Wing Student Association of the College, presided over the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, everyone watched a promotional video about the development achievements of the Lin-gang Special Area in recent years. Mr. Sun Zhikuan introduced to the alumni the development of the College of Foreign Languages in the past years and the new changes in recent years. Afterwards, the host, Mr. Wang Yang Yang, introduced the alumni guests to the audience respectively, and Mr. Liu Zhi and Mr. Sun Zhikuan held a welcome ceremony for the alumni wearing the school's emblem, which was followed by a warm applause! During the meeting, the alumni guests recalled the wonderful time of studying at the University, shared their rich experience in job hunting and career nowadays, and enthusiastically interacted with the students present and patiently answered the questions raised by them.
Mr. Liu Zhi expressed a warm welcome to the alumni. He hoped that the students should seriously appreciate the valuable advice given by the alumni and actively strive to be on par with the outstanding alumni. At the same time, he said that alumni are valuable resources of the college, and the college will continue to strengthen the communication and contact with the graduated alumni in the future development, play a good role as an example of outstanding alumni, and do a good job of collaborative education of the college together.
