The College of Foreign Languages Held a Review Meeting on the Authorization of Bachelor's Degree in French

On the morning of May 11, a review meeting of the authorization of bachelor's degree in French was held online in the College of Foreign Languages. The experts who attended the evaluation meeting were Professor Che Lin, PhD supervisor of Beijing Foreign Studies University, Professor Yang Shaolin, Dean of School of French of Sichuan International Studies University, Professor Shen Beng, Vice President of Chengdu College of Sichuan International Studies University, Professor Zhang Yan, Dean of College of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Maritime University and Associate Professor Guo Haixia, Vice Dean of College of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Maritime University.

The experts made evaluations and put forward constructive opinions on the training program, curriculum, faculty, teaching conditions and teaching resources of our French major. The experts unanimously agreed that the French major of Shanghai Maritime University has a clear orientation, distinctive characteristics, reasonable training program design, curriculum setting taking into account language and maritime professions, theory and practice, proper allocation of credit hours and credits, complete teaching facilities, and the overall level has reached the requirements of the evaluation indexes of bachelor's degree authorized disciplines, and recommended that the major be approved as a bachelor's degree authorized discipline.

This evaluation meeting is an important part of the construction of French major in our university, which has laid a solid foundation for the future enrollment and talent cultivation of French major.
