Lecturer Profile:

Professor Liao Qiaoyun, Ph.D., Professor, Institute of Linguistics, Shanghai International Studies University, supervisor of Ph.D. students in English Language and Literature and Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics; Vice President of Institute of Linguistics, Shanghai International Studies University. D. from Shanghai International Studies University and a postdoctoral fellow from Henan University. He is an expert of the National Social Science Foundation of China, vice president of the Chinese Language Education Research Association, vice president of the Chinese Cognitive Neurolinguistics Research Association, executive director of the Cognitive Linguistics Committee of the Chinese Society for Comparative English-Chinese Studies, executive director of the Philosophy of Chinese and Western Languages Committee of the Chinese Society for Comparative English-Chinese Studies, and an expert of the first pool of social science experts in Chongqing, and has been a member of the national core journals of foreign languages, Foreign Languages, and English Studies. He was a member of the editorial board of the national core foreign language journal Foreign Languages and the CSSCI journal English Studies. He is now presiding over one key project of the National Social Science Foundation, and has presided over two projects of the National Social Science Foundation and six provincial and ministerial teaching and research projects, and has presided over two key projects of higher education teaching reform in Chongqing. He has published 6 books including Research on the operation mechanism of causal constructs and more than 50 papers in important journals such as Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Foreign Languages, and Modern Foreign Languages. He was awarded the fourth batch of Chongqing young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions and won the second prize of Chongqing Social Science Excellent Achievement Award, the first prize, and the third prize of Chongqing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award. He has visited the University of Edinburgh in the UK; visited many universities in Australia, Canada, France, Israel, Hungary, and other countries to negotiate international cooperation projects; invited to participate in international and domestic academic conferences more than 50 times, and made many conference presentations.
