Introduction:
Wang Kefei received his doctor’s degree in 1993 from Beijing Foreign Studies University, and now is a professor and doctoral supervisor there. He is also the editor-in-chief of Foreign Language Teaching and Research, and standing vice director of National Research Centre for Foreign Language Education, a key research institute of humanities and social sciences approved and supported by the Ministry of Education of China. Professor Wang has been invited for more than 30 times to give lectures and conduct research for overseas universities and institutes, and honored visiting professor in International Japanese Culture Research Center under Japanese Ministry of Education, senior research adviser of Lancaster University and part-time professor in some other universities.
Professor Wang focuses his research mainly on linguistics and translation. He has been in charge of several research projects, including state-level social science bidding programs. Professor Wang has published more than 120 papers both on home and abroad, including his works A History Behind Translation, Parallel Corpora: Development & Application and so on. He has also won Capital Labor Medal in year 2012 and enjoyed special subsidy approved by the State Council.
